Accessing documents

Our catalog will help you find  :

  • The whole of the documents at the Michel Serres library and at the laboratory libraries which can be borrowed or perused on-site.

  • the thesis papers of the École Centrale de Lyon, available for the most  part in full text since 2003

Doctoral theses defended between 1985 and 2003 were digitalized and will be progressively uploaded.

Searching  for thesis papers :

The theses portal gives you access to the full text of theses defended in France since 2006

Other theses defended in France since 1985 are referenced in the SUDOC.

You have online access, either on campus or remotely,  to many digital resources (databases, journals…)

You can also consult scientific articles in open archives.

Inter-library loan (ILL) allows you to bring documents or photocopies of articles missing from our collections.

Support for your work

Document research and bibliography management trainings can be organized on demand, by making an appointment with one of our  trainers.

Materials for these trainings are directly available for perusal.

We offer a selection of websites (in French) to help you through all the steps involved in writing your thesis.

Valorisation of your work

The library is tasked with the whole circuit involved in the deposit of your thesis after its defense, and in its valorisation : all you need to know about depositing your thesis.
